Two MaximGroup Employees Achieve Marine Insurance Designations

HOUSTON — October 20, 2015 — Two MaximGroup Account Managers, Lee Fowler and Jan Creppon, have successfully earned the Certified Marine Insurance Professional (CMIP) designation from the International Institute of Marine Insurance Studies. Creppon, a Major Accounts manager, has been with MaximGroup since 2002, and Fowler, Marine and Commercial Lines account manager, since 2004.

As of May 2015, only 141 insurance professionals nationwide had successfully completed the CMIP education course. The CMIP program is the nation’s only commercial marine and longshore professional insurance education program. The designation requires attendance at four multi-day seminars: Insuring Waterfront Businesses, Insuring Vessel Owners and Operators, Insuring Marine Employees and Recreational Marine Insurance. Each course is also followed by a rigorous examination.

“We are very proud for Jan and Lee to have earned this important designation,” said Ron Masters, MaximGroup president and CEO. “We encourage our employees to pursue continuing education so we are able to offer our clients a greater depth of knowledge and experience.”
