HOUSTON – December 8, 2015 – For the fourth year in a row, local risk analysis firm MaximGroup is partnering with Communities In Schools – Bay Area to donate Christmas gifts to a family from Dunbar Middle School in Dickinson, Texas. MaximGroup made history with CIS in 2011 when they became the first business to partner with the program on an ongoing basis, and they began providing gifts for an “adopted” family in 2012. Now they are rounding out four years of continued support and charity for the school and five for the organization.
During the holiday season, CIS matches economically disadvantaged families with individual or group sponsors to provide for their tangible needs at Christmas. Without the benefit of an adoption, these families would be looking forward to a very grim holiday. MaximGroup will collect funds from their internal employees as well as donate company money to buy toys, clothes and household items for the family to open Christmas morning.
According to Ron Masters, MaximGroup’s president and CEO, the company receives much more than they give. “Giving to a group like Dunbar Middle School and the Communities In Schools program over the holidays is an opportunity for us to thank the community that has supported us for so many years,” he said. “We give them gifts, yes, but in return they have given us decades of partnership, community and friendship. To us, it’s an obvious decision to return that support, and we look forward to this effort every year.”
